F/S Robert (Bob) Winters 18/09/45
Been asked by the family to research how F/S Robert (Bob) Winters (520087) died whilst serving with 248 Squadron on 18 September 1945.
He doesn't seem to be flying with the unit in May/June/July 1945 and sadly the ORB for this period has know clues to his demise, and there seems to be no probate record. Likewise a quick search of the London Gazette draws a blank too. He married his wife Mildred Winters (nee Hope) in the summer of 1942. Could anyone help me out otherwise I'll try the AHB.
