Monte Amiata, Italy

During the II WW Monte Amiata, south Tuscany, was hit several time by allied bombers, and many airplanes belly landed or crashed there. Is there any book or witness about these casualities? Few days ago I was able to find a crash site of a german airplane, here two parts of the many I was able to collect

Regards, Andrea

Thank you for explaining the code. I'll go back soon to look for more info and parts and I hope to get info on this wreck...and of another german bomber not far...
Do you have any idea where there is the chance to find out casualities in this area?

Re: Monte Amiata, Italy

Today I got info about this wreck. The flight took off from ampugnano airport near Siena, Flying low altitude to avoid enemies. And witness say thet it was the 10th of April 1944, with 5 people loss.
Is possible to confirm this event?
Thanks in advance
Andrea

Re: Monte Amiata, Italy

300620 is WNr. for Becker's Ju 88, which was lost on April 12, 1944. See John Beaman's reply.
