Italian SM82s lost 22 April 1943
Can anyone identify the unit that was intercepted by 249 Squadron on this date?

These combats are covered in Brian Cull,s excellent ""249 At War" and also in
" Black Crosses Off My Wing Tip" by I.Kennedy. Brian suggests that only one was in fact a SM82 and was from SAS. The others being Ju.52,s

Cheers Bruce, I haven't the 249 Squadron Book but Kennedy's book is on it's way.
