Re: Aircraft code
Soren,
this was the Ar 96B "white 101" from JGr. Drontheim which made a belly landing somewhere in Danmark during summer 1941. The unit operated several Ar 96B with registrations DC+Xx and DC+Wx, therefore it is not possible to fully identify this plane.

Re: Aircraft code
Hi
This it. So Drontheim will fit in fine. Where is the info about Drontheim from ? http://www.flensted.eu.com/g1941058.shtml I found this picture on another forum, but have not yet been able to get in touch with owner. When I do, and if I get permission, I will bring it on my site. |

Re: Aircraft code
Thank you for the info.
It was much used to put a number on aircrafts used by schools. Much easyer to id an aircraft at a distance when the studendt made mistakes. The info about code and Werknummer. Where are this found ? |

All are subject to error. No qualified operator controls this on the forums or does regular quality inspections. Errors are often allowed stand and are qouted by future members. Some are corrected. Few. Well, I am a bit sceptical on connection to W.Nr., because such claims in the past have turned out in various ways. Not saying it be wrong "per se". Happy New Year -Ed |

Re: Aircraft code
DC+XE WNr. 1101 flew with JFS 2, FFS A/B 14 and FFS A/B 121 but not in Danmark.

Re: Aircraft code
You are probably right, but seems none of the planes of the DC+Xx serie flew for the JGr.Drontheim
16 7 41 BM Überpr,st,fzführ,LF Fürstenwalde Müncheberg N MSTO AR96B-1 1101 DC+XE Looks like that the Bf109 wear 2 digit figures, the Ar96 three ?? Already in 1941 ?? Sure that picture shows Denmark ?? In the time frame 16/17 July so much coincidence, just Wonder ... But to look good, I hv to offer for July 1941 the DC+YD/Wn 1126 "Durchsack b. Einschweben" 1 light wounded, nd yes plane flew later in Denmark with NAG102 Rémi |
