Bruce Lander is on a distinguished road
1st May 1942

During the various combats on this day the RAF lost 7 Spitfires to JG.26 and
JG 2.
JG.26 claiming 8 and JG.2 claiming 6. One pilot of II Gruppe JG26 allegedly collided with a Spitfire and baled out of his FW.190A-1 (0046) Black 6.

The excellent JG26 History by Don Caldwell mentions the incident briefly without naming the pilot or indeed noting the aircraft as lost.
Questions - Was this pilot credited with a kill ?
Who was this pilot
Is it possible that this pilot was the victim of Sgt George Beurling
