Re: Details 205 Group operations 27-28, and 28-29 August 1944
Does anybody know something on 205bg evaders and losses over Yugoslavia?
Researching American evaders, I have found Escape statements of some 50 Commonwealth airmen, and I presume there were some 100 more that were evacuated from Yugoslavia, with help of guerrillas. However, I have not found some group report on Commonwealth evaders. |

Re: Details 205 Group operations 27-28, and 28-29 August 1944
Further to this thread -can anybody shed light on the crash location of 178 Squadron Liberator EW160 and cause plus time of loss of this aircraft on 27-28 August 1944?
And another question re. the events of the same night: one of my contacts informed me that 1586 Flt Halifax JD171 was also lost on the same night -who has any details about the crash location & cause of loss of this Halifax? Cheers, Theo |
