From Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries - don't kn ow if this is your guy, but he's the only one listed in KG55.
MANN, Ernst. (DOB: 01.04.15). (DKG). 01.07.42 promo to Hptm. 16.07.42 Oblt., awarded DKG, Stab/KG 55. Cheers Peter

Thanks to Peter, I have now been informed for definate that it is Ernst Mann with 4/KG55, and subsequently with the Stab/KG55.
