Battle reports from Karl-Heinz Becker

Hi,

I am looking for the original battle reports from former jet pilot Karl-Heinz Becker flying with 10./NJG11

Any one who can help?

Mikael

Re: Battle reports from Karl-Heinz Becker

Hi Mikael,

http://www.chronicles-of-the-Luftwaffe.de/

Many of the original Abschußmeldung, Zeritörungsmeldung (formatted claim forms), Gefechtsbericht (pilot's reports) and Zeugenbericht (witness reports) for Becker's claims with 10./NJG 11 were published online in 2014 by Andreas Zapf in a magnificent treatise entitled "Mosquitos und Schwalben" on the above site. This treatise was deleted in 2018 when he published the hard cover book, Mosquitos Über Berlin. While this book contains the pages from Becker's flugbuch covering 1945 and details each of his claims, it does not include the above original documents you seek.

You may be able to get in touch with Mr. Zapf through his website.

best regards,

Jim.

Hi Jim,

Best regards
Mikael

I think you would do better to contact Andreas Zapf (who sometimes posts on this forum) via his website rather than ask others to publish material which Andreas himself decided to take down.

Hi Mikael,

see here: https://www.amazon.de/Mosquitos-über...2568155&sr=8-3

I think a very good book for a very reasonable price.

Regards
Matthias

Re: Battle reports from Karl-Heinz Becker

Gentlemen,

What did Karl-Heinz Becker did after WWII? Was he in the Bundeswehr Luftwaffe? Is he still alive?
