Possible NATO A/C crash near Haguenau (France) in 1955

I'm looking for information about a "supposed" NATO aircraft crashed "in flame" near or between Pechelbronn and Gunstett in North-East of France, not so fare from the German border and Strasbourg city.
According to my contact and a newspaper, the pilot was killed after its plane crashed nearby an oil well.

Hello,
I found an additional info: the pilot could have been a Canadian one. On the 2sd of September 1955, Flying Officer Edward Stewart Oliver died at Haguenau. He was belonging to 413th RCAF Fighter Squadron.

This gives the serial number of Oliver's plane as 23108.

It is clearly written the pilot did not recover from a spin resulting from a dog fight.
