US Twin Engine crash Suffolk 1945
Hi,
A needle in the haystack maybe. In January 1945 a member of 186 Squadron recorded that a twin engine US bomber crashed a few miles from RAF Stradishall killing all on board. The Stradishall Station Records Books makes no mention of this and I am having issues trying to I.D the aircraft and Group. Obviously, it could be a RAF aircraft but I was under the impression all twins engine bombers were on the continent? Perhaps it could have been a training aircraft. Any pointers welcome. Chaz
