F7F Tigercat loss 1 June 1945? MCAS Cherry Point

The June 1945 War Diary of Air Warning Squadron 16 at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, mentions the sea search for a Grumman F7F Tigercat that was reported missing on a 'familiarization hop' on 1 June 1945.

Some Marine fighter squadrons (VMF-531, VMF-911...) were introducing the Tigercat at that Marine Air Station.

AAIR has no accident with an F-7F on or around above date.

Was there indeed a loss and if so, fate of aviator?

Can you confirm the month and type as I have been unable to trace any Tigercat losses around that time. Perhaps it was reported missing but turned up safe?
