Thomas Dolbey youngest RAF pilot

Hi guys

I've read about his exploits but have not carried out detailed research. He apparently flew some 20 operational missions on Whitleys, but which squadron? And he was later injured in an aircraft crash. Are details known?

Stay safe
Brian

Re: Thomas Dolbey youngest RAF pilot

I always thought Brian Firminger from 238 Sqn killed in an accident in July 1940 was youngest?

These give the name as Thomas Dobney. The stories vary in the details.

This link (search for Dobney) says he flew in 10 OTU based at Abingdon.
