Luftwaffe Gallery / LuGa #7 by Erik Mombeeck
Here is Erik Mombeeck post on FB:
Hey guys, eleven months ago, I confirmed that we were working hard to finally complete Luftwaffe Gallery Regular #7. And I am happy to announce that we are nearing completion: just one more thorough proofread by Andy and the document will be ready to go to the printer. Here is a glance at the cover... which will help you understand my concern for my English friends. Don't worry, I love them... but at the time, not everyone felt the same way. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17BPfqoPrE/ |

Hello Messcaster. Thank you for the announcement. Maciej Góralczyk, the team and I have worked hard to complete this book, and I have no doubt that readers will be amazed by the many new things it has to offer. Could you please add his name as co-author to the title of this thread: without his expertise, the book would not be so rich.

Re: Luftwaffe Gallery / LuGa #7 by Erik Mombeeck
Dear friends and fellow enthusiasts,
It is with very great pleasure that we are writing to inform you of the imminent publication of the Luftwaffe Gallery #7 “AGAINST ENGLAND!” Don’t worry, we’ve got nothing against the English as the title of this new Luftwaffe Gallery might suggest! Quite the contrary. Indeed, this attitude was probably shared by most of the pre-war German pilots - a period of mutual respect - until propaganda got in the way, followed by military reality. This issue has as its common theme the struggle between the Luftwaffe and the RAF. When cartoonists (true artists and members of frontline Luftwaffe units) took up the subject “Against England”, they literally went wild, decorating their aircraft with the most humorous, outrageous, and aggressive unit and personal emblems. This “LuGa #7” brings together most of them, many of which readers will be seeing for the first time. Each photograph is, of course, accompanied by a detailed caption. One subject of note is the famous “Gott Strafe England” of II./JG 51, whose evolution is examined in detail because its use required numerous liberties to be taken with the official guidelines. Attacks against the British Isles and their populations were carried out by fighter-bombers. An article closely follows the inseparable careers of Frank Liesendahl and his Jabo JG 2. Since nocturnal combat mainly involved British crews fighting their German counterparts over the Reich, we present the continuation of the article published in the previous issue, which focused on daytime claims and the manner in which they were confirmed (or not), among others by the Abschusskommission in Wiesbaden. This time, the NJGs and their incredible destiny are under scrutiny If you are a fan of History, WW2, aviation, the Luftwaffe, the RAF and the men who fought in them. If you are a modeller looking for original subjects documented by superb colour profiles by Janusz Światłoń with the machine’s reference photos and enriched with camouflage colour codes. If you appreciate the humour of the cartoonists applied to famous machines. If you are looking for an interesting Christmas gift – for you or others. If, if, if… Then Luftwaffe Gallery #7 is undeniably published for you! If you have any interest in acquiring this new issue (and/or existing titles), please let us know which publications you desire. We will respond very quickly. Contact us at: hoves@telenet.be Additional information and sample pages of all our publications are on our web site: www.luftwaffe.be |
