Gotha Go 145 top pilot Josef Flögel
Good evening Gentlemen,

among the German night assault pilots Josef Flögel is second only to Ludwig Bellof. I also believe that Flögel might have flown more missions in the Gotha Go 145 than Bellof. Does anybody know Flögel's (or Bellof's) precise mission total in the Gotha Go 145 ?

All I have on Floegel is the blurb regarding award of the RK which lists 625 Feindfluege.

It seems he flew an additional 8 missions after that as Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries credits him with 633. His RK was awarded for his flight to Budapest in a Fieseler Storch, wasn't it ?

That would be interesting, the story in Voelckischer Beobachter only mentions his missions on the Ostfront.

Hmm, that website is riddled with inaccuracies. His RK citation does not specifically say he was given the award for the Budapest exploit.
