3/zg 76 1939-40
1 Staffel had ther train badge, 2 Staffel the ladybird but is anyone aware of any staffelabzeichen carried by 3/ZG 76's Bf 110s 1939-40?

3./Zerstörergeschwader 76 had an Moravian eagle coloured with blue and white cheques, set against a red shield as an early 1939 marking, and later in 1940, a red eagle fighting a green dragon. These can be seen in the Hikoki publication, Luftwaffe Emblems 1939-45, on page 53. The caption relating to them on page 38 states the former was seen on a Bf110B in 1939, and the latter was a rarely-seen 1940 offering. Last edited by obdl3945; 20th January 2007 at 14:26. I have got in a book a photo of a Bf 110B with a pale (white?) eagle on a dark shield.
