Thanks for this great post.
I guess that the P-47s in tight formation are from 56th FG (Gabreski leading) and that the Zeros shot at are rather Ki.43s, but anyway the P-40 photographs are very interesting. |

Great link and lots of previously unknown photos of the 8oth FG. In addition to the referenced Osprey book on CBI P-40 aces, the recently published Air War For Burma by Chris Shores has a lot of information about the actions of the group.
