Wilhelm Moritz IV(Strum)/ JG3
Donald Caldwell’s fine book “The Luftwaffe Over Germany” naturally discusses the Sturmgruppen. Wilhelm Moritz, commander of IV (Sturm) / JG 3 is one of the major personalities. I have seen his career mentioned in many other books, but have never seen him listed as a reference. I believe he survived the war. Does anyone know of his post-war career? Is he still alive? He seems to be one of the key personalities who prefer not to talk about the war. He also seems to have been a very capable leader, at a time when air formation leaders were rare in the Luftwaffe.

Re: Wilhelm Moritz IV(Strum)/ JG3
Moritz was indeed a great fighter leader, and survived the war. He emigrated to Canada and the last I heard he was still alive a few years ago.
