49 MU Faygate Sussex

Does anyone know if there is in existance a War Diary or other such log for the 49 Maintanance Unit at Faygate during the 1940's?

I am trying to confirm if a particuar crashed aircraft was taken there for dismantling / scrap.

Thanks.
