Me109E Wknr.1490

Hi,I have the manufactureplate of its undercarriage with this wknr.
The Me109 crashed in England 1940.
Any info on it(date,unit,pilot,crashplace)?

It seems that this one is not known as a loss, so if really it felt in England, it was at the time , july nd august 40 , where the Wn were not reported, I check also with the schools not found..

Well, RT, I do have a loss. However, there seems to be a conflict here. If this was lost in GB, it could not have been lost in N.A.

Bf 109E-7, 1490, n.n., 4.(H)12, 04-Jul-42, Technical failure., Afrika, Gen.Qu.6.Abt., mfm #6)-Vol.10, Sidi Baranib.

Perhaps the plate shows the landing gear werk number, not the aircraft werk number.
