406 FG losses on 30/12/1944
Hi ,
On december 30th 1944 the 406FG lost three P47 : 42-28440 MACR 11497 44-19747 MACR 11498 Pittala Vincent R ( KIA ) 42-28898 MACR 11499 Drake Howard W Is there someone who knows were they were lost ? |

hello Alain,
from the ABMC site for the 514th Fighter Squadron 406th Fighter group. 2Lt John I. Smith was killed this date. Note: Pittala's a/c 44-19747 was a/c "R" and was ex Bloom's - Bloom's Tomb VII "B". Alex Last edited by Alex Smart; 8th January 2008 at 16:18. |

Lt Pittala was first buried in Longuyon, France (Lorraine), before being reinterred in USA. Groet, Leendert |
