Loss B 24 on Aug 24 1944

Hello,

I am looking for exact crash site of B 24, 454th BG, 15th AF, s/n 41-29581 on August 24 1944. It should be somewhere in Austria (Utzmark ?). I am interested as well in names of crew and what´s happened to them.

Thanks for help

Michal

Re: Loss B 24 on Aug 24 1944

Hi,
From the ABMC site listed for the 739th Bomber Squadron for the 24th August 1944 are -

Sgt. Carl W. Anderson
Sgt. Thomas E. Davis
2Lt. Oliver Eyestone jr
Sgt. Samuel A. Green
T/Sgt. Harry E. Hill
2Lt. Bernard J. Kreuzer
2Lt. James M. Reeves
2Lt. Louis J. Wagonhauser.

I could find no POW's listed for that date for the 454 th BG in the NARA pages.
Perhaps they were also Killed but not on the ABMC lists or maybe evaders ?
