Re: Photos 12-30, part two

This: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=280187622169 seems to be a very early He 177 (judging by the landing gear doors).

...more like a 3.7CM pitot tube! Interesting image nonetheless, I don't have the Schiffer Fw187 work so this example with Sktz codes is new to me... cheers Ed, and all the best for 2008!

Re: FW-187 with a 3.7 CM cannon

Hi Peter and all of you out there!

Happy New Year from Taipei to all of you! The 101 building on fireworks display is amazing!

Amazing aircraft the Fw 187 - The lost Mossie killer????

Anyway, the top photo was published om page 96 in "Focke-Wulf Fw 187 Der vergessene Hochleistungsjäger" by Herrmann and Petrick, Aviatic Verlag.(Later turned into a Schiffer version I believe)
It is Fw 187 A-0, CA+WZ, pictured in Vaerlöse, Denmark when used by the "Luftschiessschule" stationed there.

I have been intrigued by this aircraft ever since I found a WW2 German book with colour photos/alt.period colourized of this aircraft in my father's collection, several of which have been reproduced in b/w since - Also in the book mentioned above.

Cheers
Goran

I believe you will find the book captivating Peter. Still a mystery to me the RLM did not fully recognize/utilize the opportunities in this design!

Cheers!

If you can read German ... The original German edition seems to be pretty cheap now:
