KG54 loss 6th.June 1944

ADIK report no 270/1944 shows that around 0100hrs on the 7th June ''(pilot) Fw. Waldemar Baetke disc no 60029 '' was picked up by a US destroyer off the French Beachead. However the airman who held the EK.1 died some twenty minutes later. I could not find any reference to him, however the KG 54 book shows that a Bf of 9/KG54 Fw. Waldemar Bethge was reported missing with his crew on the 6th.June. Does anyone have anything to confirm if this is the same man,

Thanks

Matti, thank you very much for this info, looks like the spelling in the KG54 book was not correct,
