Liberators in Soviet service

B-24 Liberators (and later B-17 Flying Fortresses) were used from 1944 to re-equip the 25 Guards Long Range Regiment/Bomber Regiment (Gv AP DD/BAP).
Can anyone provide more information, especially whether or not they were used against the Germans?
