German militaria artefacts...

Can somebody explain me this... Some German militaria items sell for insane prices on Ebay. How come this helmet didn't even sell for under $10!?

Skyraider,
The reason that it did not sell in my humble opinion is because it is a load of rubbish that only vaguely resembles a German helmet!
Regards,
Andy

Well there's a fair reason!
I'm no German army expert... could have fooled me.

Re: German militaria artefacts...

If you read the auction posting at the top, The seller ended the auction early because of an error in the posting, Perhaps the price? So no bidding or winner due to seller pulling the item. I would have been happy to give him $9.99 for it...real or not, the edges are rolled like the early style WWII 1935 helmet, still looks like a possible copy. No Expert here either.

Ah, I missed that notice! Well spotted.

NB. The same seller recently sold a box of 125+ WW2 US recognitoin slides, which went for only $23. So some things do go cheap...
