1426 captured enemy aircraft flight

Hi,

Does anyone have any information on 1426 Captured Enemy Aircraft Flight? I think it may have been part of the Air Fighting Development Unit based at Duxford.

I've tried the NA but can't seem to find any docs on this unit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Alex

Re: 1426 captured enemy aircraft flight

Alex,

these articles may be a start:

http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m...02/ai_n9204393
http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/pl...ndworldwar.htm
http://www.airforcehistory.hq.af.mil...rtechintel.htm

I shall have look in "War Prizes" tomorrow to see what info is contained in there.

And this is an example of one of the aircraft they tested:

Hope this helps
