Obfw Riewe 2./NAGr. 13

Does anyone know the first name of Obfw Riewe (possibly Joachim?) who flew with 2./NAGr. 13 during Spring 1943 or his eventual fate.

Best Regards

Andy Fletcher

Re: Obfw Riewe 2./NAGr. 13

I have him with 2/NAG 13 in Mar 43 as he flew a number of times with Lt Settgast. However, I have no fate. There was also a Ofw Hans Riewe who got the Pokal 28 Feb 44

Re: Obfw Riewe 2./NAGr. 13

Thanks Chris, that was quick.

You probably know anyway but an Obfw Joachim Riewe of an unidentified aufklärungs unit was awarded the DKiG sometime during 1944. He is listed as a beobachter.

Obfw Riewe of 2./NAGr. 13 would have been a F/Bo as he was flying FW 190s so it a possibility he could be Joachim.

Do you know what function Obfw Hans Riewe performed, was he a pilot?

Cheers

Yes I've noticed that many of the aufklärer are listed as observers when they are actually combined pilot/observers

Thanks again
