Re: B-17's

From the Middlebrook book

For the Bad Kissengen aircraft
B-17 42-30139 Snuffy, 545th Sqd, 384th BG, damaged by Schweinfurt flak, finished off by fighter attack. crashed at Stangenroth 10km NW Bad Kissengen.
Pilot 2nd Lt Oliver Sweningsen, S/Sgt Richard S Grover, 2nd Lt Victor T Kelly killed

I suspect for the second aicraft you mean Elfershausen, if so.
B-17 42-30191 The Bolevich, 525th Sqd, 379th BG, but flying as part of 103rd CG, fighter attack and Flak, crashed at Elfershausen 10km SW Bad Kissingen.
Pilot Lt Donald W Merchant, with T/Sgt Gene R Hecht killed.

Pete

Re: B-17's

Hi Pete many thank for the info. I have the German pilots Flugbuch, which records the dates and time for these two aircraft he shot them down within 14 minutes of each other and did an article after the war for a book called 'Geschichte der Deutschen Nachtjagd' 1917-1945 by Gebhard Aders.
