Anybody know where this pic taken FW190

Hi all,
My Grandfather was in the 5th Armored Division, 85th Reconnaissance Cavalry Squadron Mechanized. They trekked across northern Germany, starting near Mulhausen, then to DUsseldorf, Hannover, pic of the autobahn then across eventually stopping at the River Elbe and stopping west of Berlin. I have a photo of him next to a Fucke Wolf FW 190, Looks like an A not a D. Does anybody know where this photo might have been taken.

Here is alink to the path taken by the 5th AD. http://www.5ad.org/5ADmap.html

Thanks for your time.

THat's kind of a small picture, but if you right click and "Save target as" you can save on your computer and open with WIndows picture and fax viewer and you can zoom in a little bit.

Hi Fisher,

I can't tell you anything about the location, but it shows an interesting Fw 190 of Jagdgeschwader JG301 with a Gruppe bar. Nice.

Re: Anybody know where this pic taken FW190

Hi:

I am going to hazard a guess at Fw 190 A-9, W.Nr. 490044, Red 22 of JG 301 photographed at Lagensalza.

However, a larger scan would be more helpful.

Mark,
It's a pretty small picture, only 2.5 x 3.5 inches.. I am getting this picture and others professionally blown up and colored, so I'll post when I get them.
Lagensalza, is that in central germany, is that an airfield?
