Losses French Airforce in Germany 1945-1947
I"m searching for losses from the different Groupe de Chasse I/5, I/4, 3/3, 2/2, 2/3 (all have P-47D) when they where stationed at the former German Airfields Niedermendig and Trier-Euren. I have the report from one loss of the I/5 from 1. July 1946, when Sgt. Robert Moser lost at an flying accident near Longkamp. (P-47D-30 RE 44-20693).
Did the French Airforce ever lost an P-63 "Kingcobra" over Germany? |

Re: Losses French Airforce in Germany 1945-1947
Hans,
On the informative website http://pagesperso-orange.fr/p-47.database/ I found at least two accidents of French P-47s, both of GC II/5, which was stationed at Niedermendig after the war as well. 44-33677 7-8-1946 Crashed nr Hatzenbühl. pilot Andrieux killed. 44-33768 8-4-1946 Landing accident at Niedermendig. Pilot: Marcel Ferriol. Perhaps if you browse mentioned website you can find some more... Grüss, Leendert |
