Me 262, 27.17.1944
on 27.12.1944 one Me 262 fighter crashed down in the area of the town bünde. serial number 110624.
I found the note : possible shot down by spitfire, flown by F/O M.A. Perkins of 442. RCAF. any informations about this ? gruß uwe

Uwe,
F/O M.A. Perkins claimed to have damaged a Me-262 over Aachen. He flew Spitfire PT883 of 442 Squadron. (Source: Shores & Thomas, 2nd TAF, Vol. 2.) There are two towns Bünde, one near Herford and the other one south of Emden, but both over 250-300 kms from Aachen. Perhaps another Me-262? Gruss, Leendert

this Me 262, from 4./KG 51, hopsten airfield near rheine, crashed down in bünde, near herford.
