USAAF PR Pilot´s name required - 8th PRS

Good night!
I would be very pleased to be helped to positively identify the name of the pilot of the F-4-1-LO, serial number 41-2137 lost on a PR mission to Rabaul ( 6th PRG / 8th PRS - Eight Ballers ) on the 26th June 1943.
Thanks in advance
Adriano
PS: I do not have the book Eight Ballers, but it is on my list for Christmas!
Any comments on the book would be welcomed too!

Re: USAAF PR Pilot´s name required - 8th PRS

hello again adriano

checked the eightballers book, took off at 7.00am never heard from again. its thought he was jumped by fighters that were waiting over new britain, he was one of a number of pilots that were lost on the supposed milk run to rabaul.
hope this helps. best regards

gary
