Ju52 loss Northern Italy/Austria 1944.

Hi,
Seeking details of the loss of a Ju52 in Northern Italy and/or Austria around on or before the 11th August 1944.

I can offer you a Savoia Marchetti S.79 of the ANR's Gruppo Buscaglia shot down by "friendly" Flak over Yugoslavia on 11 August 1944.

Not a Ju 52 but it did have three engines …

Witnesses say "On 11th crashed a
Ju 52 in the area" .

in Northern Italy .

Please define "...in the area". What area? Northern Italy do extend from the borders of France to those of Slovenia...

You quote witnesses, where?

Sorry to ask, but it all still looks a bit vague to me...

Hello Ferdinando,

These are said to be reliable witnesses that my Austrian contact has ( I presume ) spoken too recently. The event in Northern Italy is said to have taken place near Brunico / San Stefano area either on or before the 11th August of 1944..
