Bf 109 of 2./NAGr. 1, 15.02.45

Gentlemen,
I recieved informations about the loss of a Bf 109 G of 2./NAGr. 1 on 15.02.1945 on or near Niedermendig a/f.

The Werk-Nr. is given with 20 523, which is incorrect or incomplete.

Any idea?

Regards,

Heuser

Re: Bf 109 of 2./NAGr. 1, 15.02.45

Thank you very much for your reply. There should be some more losses around this date. Uffz. Pepi Lenk (4./123) was killed on 16.02.45 near Wassenach (Bf 109 G-6 230 290?), and a Lt. Lehmann bailed out of his stricken Bf 109G near Bell...

Best regards,

Mr. Bines,
every information about this unit is of great help, so thank you very much!

A very interesting subject for me are the losses of 4.(F)/123, Stab and 2./NAGr. 1 while opererating from Niedermendig, Hadamar and Limburg - I recieved informations of names and lost a/c of this units, but nothing concrete at all.

Best regards

Re: Bf 109 of 2./NAGr. 1, 15.02.45

Some more 16th. Feb. seems to have been a bad day:-

1/ 16-2 2/NAGr.1 Bf 109G-6 20523 Bauchldng.inf Bedienungsfehler Fl.Pl.Niedermendig 20% ( w.n. from LW QM's list is at odds with Johns info).
2/ 16-2 2/NAGr.1 Bf109G6 205659 crashed following Feindbsschuss N/E Mayen pilot safe.
3/ 16-2 2/NAGr.1 Bf109G6 709559 crashed following Feindbeschuss south of Wittlich pilot safe.
4/ 5-3 3/NAGr.1 Bf109G6 230287 Ltn. Max Haberl missing from combat mission.

It is sometimes hard to read the details on screen but I believe these are correct,

Die 3./NAGr 1 war in Twenthe von 1.45 bis 3.45(?). Auch da gab es Verluste. Flogen auch mit in Bodenplatte.

Gruss,

John.

Jaap, die 230115 wurde geflogen von Ofhr. Helmut Stütz, 3./NAGr 1. Bestattet in Enschede, jetzt Ysselsteyn R-1-4.
