Fern-Jagdaufklärungsstaffel?

I have seen the Sterbebild (death card) of Uffz. Heini Luginger, who was "pilot and observer" in a "Fern-Jagdaufklärungsstaffel". He fell at an unknown date, in the West, when 22 (it's rather strange not to give the date of death on a so-called death card).

I'm curious, which unit might have been this "Fern-Jagdaufklärungsstaffel" and what airplane type(s) was/were used?

Re: Fern-Jagdaufklärungsstaffel?

What about 4.(F) and 5.(F)/123 with Bf 109s, both part of Luftflotte 3 before and during the Normandy campaign?

(They were redesignated into NAG Staffeln in Autumn 1944)
