It 's a FIAT RS.14 of the 148a Squadriglia RM, based at Vigna di Valle. The overwing "fasci" are deleted, so the picture had been taken after 25 july 1943 and, probably, after the armistice of the 8 september 1943. Gianandrea Bussi

It is amazing what one finds not only in Ed's finds, but also what is in the background!!!
Thanks Ed. Burried gold in them there pix. The Fiat G.50 appears to be the aircraft of Maaggiore Mario Bonzano, CO of 20 Gruppo, at Maldegem Belgium , Nov 1940. If so, then Waldis and Di Bortoli may have the profile wrong on page 18 of the Part 1 of Caccia & Assulto books. Note the fuselage band! http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=6177880549
