LN401 and LN411 losses

Hi,

I wonder if somebody could help me with losses of LN-401 and LN-411 planes?
I already have the information`s concerning the loss of 10 LN-401 planes and 13 LN-411 planes. I`m interested in those, which were left behind on the airfields. I`m also try to find out how many planes returned damaged after the mission on the 19th May 1940? How many of them were later abandoned? I`m missing also some serial numbers and perhaps somebody will help me to fill up these gaps?

TIA

Robert

Re: LN401 and LN411 losses

Hi Robert
You may get some help if you can get a look at "The Battle of France-then and now" by Peter Cornwell. For the 19th he refers to 2 Naval units AB2 and AB4, attacking German Columns. He refers to 11 L-N401s and 9 L-N 411s being involved and lists 6 401 losses and 4 411 losses of which only 1, identified as Aircraft 11 , a 401 of AB2, is referred to as being abandoned, the other 9 were all written off after crashing in open country. There is a German photo of a 401 with the no.11 on the fuselage but Cornwell does not express certainty that it is that which was abandoned at Berck where both units were based.

Dick
