Unknown Aircraft Control Yoke/Wheel

Hi guys,

I picked this up in France...

Thought it may have been for an early Ju86 or Ju52...

Any thoughts?

Are there any numbers on the metal casting? Am also a bit puzzled as to how this fitted to the central fixing point as there seems to be no hole or any means of attachment in the centre of the casting. It almost looks as if it is an unfinished factory piece...or am I missing something here?

It looks like an ornimant of an aircraft such as on a merry-go-round of a fairground attraction to me. I'm a bit puzzled by the concentric remnants of the spindle...

It would also be useful to have some idea of size. A scale in the picture would help somewhat.

Re: Unknown Aircraft Control Yoke/Wheel

Hi guys,

I beleive it is an unfinished piece. It is definitely aircraft (as oppsoed to a merry-go-round )

There is some calcium and a bit of surface corrosion...no numbers.

At the widest point it is around13.5" (35cm) accross...

hmmmm....
