Re: F/O Ewert info needed
Recently picked up some new paperwork to a WW2 RAF pilot. He seemed to be a SNCO when he joined and later went officer.
All I have is his name, can anyone tell me about this pilot? Sorry it is little information.
Thanks, Danny

Re: F/O Ewert info needed
Danny,
I presume you are talking about the fellow in this ebay posting?: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WW2-RAF-X-...item1c2fdf7006 If that's the case, then you've bought a bit of a mess. The service number on the ebay listing (127045) comes back to an Ernest John Townsend Boucher 903317, commissioned 29 June 1942: http://www.google.se/url?sa=t&rct=j&...sbUbYO-BYnf3yw No sign of any DFC. Re: F/O Ewert info needed
Hello,
The ribbon depicted is for an Air Force Cross, not a DFC. http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issu...pplements/4485 F/Lt Boucher AFC, was at Poona, India, at the time of the award. Col. |
