I find it strange that at least two of the same aircraft photos appear in both albums even as one is supposed to be from Norway and one from Spain!

One is a photo of a Ju 88 with two men standing in front.
The other a row of JU 88s with the nose of a He 111 positioned ahead along a runway or road.

I smell a rat......

Also the naval vessel marked "13" has been sold before.

Yes, those two Ju 88 photos appear to be one and the same, identical, etc.

Interestingly the Spanish Ju 88 is identified as an Ju 87 and the Bf 110 is labeled a Do 17. the He 189 is also labeled as a Ju 87, but the He 111 is labeled correctly. Intentional stupid mistake. Perhaps the seller is trying to authenticate by fake ignorance.

The last two letters on the Ju 88 appear to be "NA".

In no way would I encourage anyone to drop their guard, but I've seen a few things that I'd like to mention. Photos that were unknowingly or perhaps purposely misidentified by the seller. Photos with writing on the back that misidentifies the aircraft in the photo. There's the possibility that this writing may have been added at a later date, perhaps a much later date.

I would like to point out that it appears that multiple copies of some photos were made for giving out to aircrews and comrades, ground crew, friends and family. It may be possible that friends who were separated may have the same photo among their belongings.

Hi

I do not believe these to be very suspicious. I have in my own collection the one and same photograph (copy) obtained from 4 different genuine sources. This photo was taken at Sola airfield shortly after the invasion and as stated by Ed, distributed amongst all parts of the german Wehrmacht. In my case one of the sources were a Bf 110 gunner, two were Flak crew, and one was in the infantry.

The only common feature being that they were all part of the german forces that went through Stavanger in early/mid April 1940.
