3/JG54 and 3/JG2 29 May 1940

Hi guys

On this date, pilots from 3/JG54 and 3/JG2 encountered a squadron of FAA Swordfish near Calais and shot down five, the 3/JG2 pilots claiming two of them as Wapitis.

Has anyone any German reports of this action? I am aware of the names of the claimants but would appreciate some detail from the German side if at all possible.

Cheers
Brian

Re: 3/JG54 and 3/JG2 29 May 1940

Hi,

I think these were two separate encounters.
Swordfish planes were claimed at 20.00 and Wapiti at 20.10 and 20.14.

Regards

Robert

Hi Robert

Thanks but I believe this was the same action for the Swordfish.

Cheers
Brian
