Me 110 crash, Vuotso airstrip Finland

This summer we investigated a crash site at the wartime airstrip at Vuotso in Northern Finland. The pieces found at the site make us pretty sure it is a Bf 110, but we have no further information regarding this crash. It might have happened in 1944
Additional information is very welcome!

I can't check this right now but if my memory serves me correctly Hannu Valtonen doesn't know the much from the wreckage in his book "Lapin Lentokonehylyt" but he is with you in the 110 thing.

Thanks Martti.
I know this one will be difficult to solve.

In addition we found aircraft pieces on the airstrip too. They might of course be from the same aircraft.

Hi.

If it is a Bf 110 it is highly likely a 13.(Z)/JG 5 machine.

There are several possibilities, think you have to use the elimination method starting with all the known dates and losses here...

Maybe my list of all 13.(Z)/JG 5 losses is a start...?

Regards,
Andreas B

Hi
I've tried the eliminations method on losses of 13.(Z) JG 5, and ended up with two possible dates of crash: 13.02-44 and 14.02-44.
Sorry have no more detailled info.

regards Kjell
