"Ion Dicezare" or "Ioan Dicezare"

Hello,

what is the correct first name of romanian fighter ace "Dicezare"?
"Ion" (google.de result 479)or "Ioan" (google.de result 179)?

Thanks for help!

Re: "Ion Dicezare" or "Ioan Dicezare"

Actually, both of them are OK. 'Ioan' is the older way of spelling, while 'Ion' is the current one.
However, his family name - he is of Italian origin - correctly is Dicesare.

BTW, Mr. Dicesare is one of the oldest Rumanian fighter ace pilot still alive. May it be so for a long time to come...
