Alexander Malcolm Arthur Thomson, FAA
Hi,
I am preparing a Roll of Honour for a local school and am trying to find out more details on the following person. I have the CWGC details. Alexander M A Thomson was a naval airman 2nd Class, FAA/FX9233 on board HMS Dasher when she blew up in the Clyde on 27th March 1943. From his designation would I be correct to assume he was part of the aircrew of HMS Dasher. I believe 816 Squadron, FAA was onboard at the time of the explosion. Alex

Hi Alex
If you haven't done so already look at http://www.naval-history.net/xGM-Chr...CVE-Dasher.htm which gives some detail on the ship and a casualty list. Regards Dick |
