Crash at Frondenberg Jan1945

I was in Germany recently near Dortmund.

there is notation in one of local town journals from 1945 mentioning crash at end of Jan 1945 near Frondenburg (south east of Dortmund) Likely single engine (cant exclude P38).En elderly man recently indicated pilot was killed ??!. But no other info re site of crash

We have 40 allied crashes documented in area but nothing seems to match this , but source seems to be reliable. On 28th Jan there was large raid on Dortmund with 6 bombers down in area. Frondenburg is on return track but can find nothing on losses that day of single engine aircraft.

Anyone have any ideas of possibilities on other days at end of Jan that could be Recc flight for example. There are 3 MACR that list P38 but dont seem to match.

thanks Robert Reid
