III/KG 27 1941

Does anyone have a record of a III/KG 27 He 111 (presumably 7 Staffel) which crash-landed in an estuary back in Europe due to Flak damage; it would have been prior to 10 May 41. Also, does anyone have the NVM which shows the loss of Hptm Wolfgang Langner of 7/KG 27, 10-11 May 41?

Re: III/KG 27 1941

Here's what I found in Waiss Band III:
10.05.41 7./KG 27 loss:

He 111P-2 (1G+GR) WNr. 1389 crashed near Seaford entire crew killed;

(FF) Hptm. Wolfgang Langner (DOB: 08.05.11).
(BO) Fw. Erwin Ortmann (DOB: 10.05.14).
(BF) Uffz. Heinz Krause (DOB: 19.08.19).
(BM) Karl Biersack (DOB: 26.09.18).

From the British authorities came the report 251/1941:
Event location: 6 miles S of Newhaven/Sussex

I hope this helps

Hi, Chris

Do you mean a timespan from outbreak of war to May 10th 1941?

There are a lot of III./KG 27 losses in my lists, will try to make you a custom link in a day or two.

Regards,
Andreas B
