Re: NJG2 Juni 41

Well Remi

Checking Balss he says on 24.6.1941 this:
2./NJG 2, PQ 4434 vor Holl. küste, Ju 88C-2, notwasserung infolge techn. mängel, Besatzung durch Seenotdienst gerettet, 100 schaden.
Crew: Lt Hans Schulz, Uffz Wolfgang Pusch, Ogefr Ernst Idzick, all OK
No WNr known and it is not known if this was an operational mission or not.

Cheers
Stig

Re: NJG2 Juni 41

So, Stig it seems that Michael, worked with the KTB, that was an "ennemy" flight, Möhlenbeck don't speak of this case, but he already spent 10 pages describing the unbelievable flight of an in-flight abandonned Ju88 above Ardennen who crashed on 22/23.june 1941 b. Milano

Aircraft gave SOS at 04.30 in the morning. Aftter two minutes nothing more was heard. Then two He 59 from Seenotdienst with fighter cover went out to look for the crew.

Re: NJG2 Juni 41

Hi Remi, apologies for hijacking your post (again!) but what is the story you mention about an abandoned Ju88 crashing in Milan?

I would be very grateful for some further information, please.

Cheers
Brian
