Bf 109 G-6AS “green 5”
Can anybody help me out on this. this is a Bf 109 G-6AS “green 5” from 2.Erg. JG 2, Hagenow, Autumn 1944. I understand "Erg" stands for Ergänzungsgruppe, a training group. However, i cannot find anything under JG2 having a Ergänzungsgruppe attached. And JG2 only flew 109 in 42-43, by 44 they where only 190s. Could this be part of a Nachtjagdgeschwader?

Re: Bf 109 G-6AS “green 5”
Hi,
That model is based on a G-6/AS from 2./EJG 2. Originally that unit was designated, Ergänzungs-Nachtjagdgruppe 2 in April 1944...but then re-designated Ergänzungs-Jagdgeschwader 2 in November 1944. |
