Unit of MiG-3?

What unit was this MiG-3 belonging to (according to the kit's instructions, the engine cowling was black)?

Re: Unit of MiG-3?

Hello Denés,
I am not Eastern Front especialist like so many down here, but I found this for you, which seems probable:
This profile represents an aircraft of 62 IAP VVS ChF (Black Sea fleet).
It is also visible from the left on a videotapehttp://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/mig3/white1bis.html

Re: Unit of MiG-3?

Another one, this way Moscow Front:

PS: By the way, I do suggest the Edward cockpit set and Mig-3 Detail set ( flaps, etc ) by Edwards on 1/48 scale. Good work!

Another one Moscow Front...

A question: were those planes at Moscow from the Black Sea Fleet? ( I mean transferred to the Moscow Front? )

Re: Unit of MiG-3?

Denés,
This magnificent site goes on, with a lot of aditional information, such as:
http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/mig3/mig3.html#colors
http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/mig3/cockpi.html
http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/mig3/guns.html
http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/mig3/engineam35a.html
http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/mig3/structure.html
Surely one of the most magnific sites about one single subject/aircraft that I ever saw! One must congratulate the guy who did it!
Hope people will apreciate as I did!
Yours
Adriano
