Halifax mkIII LW 166 "S" out of Leeming

hi guys

im wondering if anybody may have a photograph of LW166 of 427 sqn RCAF. Untill now ive not been able to lay my hands on a picture. the a/c, i believe, was only in service a short while before being shot down over france in july 44. im interested because my wife lost her uncle on when the plane was shot down.

ive tried all the museums, 427 sqn and the National Military HQ in Canada but to no avail. im probably not going to find a picture of it but this forum is probably my last chance.

another question i have is would anyone know what nose art was emblazened accross this halifax. 427 was adopted by MGM studios so im presuming it was an acctress.

regards

paul
